A fun way to show appreciation to your guests is by hosting a day after wedding brunch the morning following your wedding day. Not only will you have additional opportunity to share more time with your the guests before they depart for home, your families and friends will enjoy a relaxing brunch the day after your wedding.

Why get married on Maui (or any other island destination wedding location)? To answer this question for couples thinking about a destination wedding on Maui, we surveyed more than 50 catered Maui wedding couples to find out why they decided on a destination wedding and selected Maui as their island destination wedding location:

Bamboo wedding chuppa are very popular at outdoor destination weddings. Most oceanfront weddings on Maui feature a chuppah. 'What are wedding chuppahs?' A wedding chuppa is a version of the classic wedding arbor, or simply a wedding arch. On Maui, wedding chuppas created from natural bamboo accent outdoor weddings. While beautiful, wedding chuppas serve purpose by providing 'structure', accomplished by effectively creating an elegant canopy where the bride, groom and wedding officiate stand during the wedding ceremony to exchange their marriage vows.

While ending one year and about to begin a new one, it seems like a good opportunity to reflect and appreciate 2011 while looking forward to more Maui celebrations in 2012. With very popular dates of 1-11-11 and 11-11-11 past and with upcomming significant dates of 1-2-12 and 12-12-12, Maui continues to be a very popular wedding destination for couples getting married and family celebrations in Hawaii.
